I was just about to start this same thread. To make it even more confusing, all the promos said "All new Simpsons." All new? What, all new rerun?

It wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't claimed "an all new episode" RIGHT before this started. Stupid FOX, you go squish now!

I noticed this too!! I was going to get on here and post about it, but i convinced myself i didn't hear them say "Hold on for an all new simpsons" ....

Weird. Once again proving Fox is filled with monkeys.

Not sure about Fox's lame advertising, but TVGuide correctly listed the "Treehouse of Horror XIII", which is the one currently being shown...

Apart from the misleading commercials which were previously commented upon, I wouldn't even mind reruns in and of themselves if they didn't rerun episodes from A MONTH AGO! The reruns have all been from this season?! There may be some syndication/royalty/replay rights thing that I don't know of/understand, but I literally saw a Sunday episode rerun, on Sunday, within three weeks. It's like they're not even trying anymore, if they ever did.

The phrase "stupider like a fox" is taking on a whole new meaning.

the sad part about the reruns is they just take the last months episode and shove it down our throats again. it happened last season aswell. the reruns were half unbareable because they were the bad episodes which were only worth sitting through once anyhow.

Not just that, but The simpsons was the LAST series to premiere this season, and that was in November.....

All networks are entering the re-run phase at this point, so most programming will suck until February.

I really wasn't expecting a new episode due to the end of November sweeps, but the Fox promos really threw me for a loop. I'm glad I wasn't the only one to hear "And a new Simpsons in just 30 minutes". Then to dump on us a repeat that was so recent, AND halloween-based was just tacky.

It's like NBC's promos some years ago, "It's new if you haven't seen it!"

After this week, I'll believe it when I see it.

It's just as likely we'll see the Rolling Stones episode again.

Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Troy Mclure, you may remember me from the class action suit regarding the "Never Ending Story" that ran for 96 minutes.

Please join me in a class action suit against FOX for this blatant false advertising scheme...
