feb 19 we get zelda oot

Last week in Japan, Nintendo released bonus discs to people who pre-ordered The Legend of Zelda: Kaze no Takuto that contained updated versions of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Ura Zelda. We mentioned that the discs would in fact be released here in North America, but we didn’t know when.

Today Planet GameCube learned that this pre-order promotion will begin in North America on February 16th. Just like in Japan, the bonus disc will contain both Ocarina of Time and Ura Zelda, as well as some different game trailers. How many, and which trailers is still unknown, but we’re assuming they’ll be changed for the US due to the fact that some of the games previewed on the Japan disc have already been released.

woohoo! wondering if i should preorder now or wait....hmmm
i mos def want it tho

Feb 16 is the reported date that you can preorder the game, and I believe you get the OOT/Ura Zelda disc the day you preorder, rather than when the new game comes out.

I pre-ordered this game and I don't even have a gamecube yet.

Don't forget that these games are going to be hi-res and slightly different dungeons will be used.

I've been thinking about replaying Ocarina of Time, but I think I'll wait for this. This is just great news.

Pre-order from EBgames.com and receive a disc that contains two games: Zelda Legend of Ocarina and the Legend of Ocarina Time Master Quest.

I'm confused. Is this the original Ocarina of Time from the N64 or just two different side quests based on the game.

I'm preordering today anyway, but I was curious.

It's the original OOT, and Ura Zelda is more or less just slightly different version of OOT with diferent bosses and what not.

I'm in! I'll probably own if for 6 months before I get a cube, but that's just too good to pass up!

I clicked the EBGames link above but don't see any mention of the bonus disc. Am I missing something?

It was there last night, but I see that it's gone now. I hope this doesn't mean that the deal is off.

It better not be off, considering I just made a half-hour drive to EB to pre-order. They told me I was the first customer to do so. They also said that OoT should be available in February, but they think only for those in the first batch of pre-orders.

I called EB to confirm before preordering and I was told that Nintendo contacted them 2 hours ago asking them to pull the info about the bonus disc from their website. So they are not able to confirm what's going on at this time. Just thought people might like to know this.
