I thought it was a funny ep. The subplot w/ Eddie and the bartender was great ("I wish I could have seen you give it to her...)
One question - when the hell did they open a bar? Was it at the beginning of the season before it went on hiatus? can't remember...

I remember them borrowing money from claudia's dad to fund the bar, but I think this is the first episode that actually shows it open and in action.

Also has anyone noticed that in the 3 shows so far Sean and Eddy's dad haven't been in any, where the hell is he at?

Episode 1 of the season:
Shawn quits his construction job and doesn't tell Claudia. Basically Eddie had a "money making" plan of starting a bar and got Shawn in on it. Turns out Eddie and a few other guys all put their money together to buy this old bar, and then they were going to burn it down for insurance. Shawn and Claudia find the box of rags and gasoline in the back, so they cancel the insurance policy so Eddie wont burn it down. (First episode with the bar).
Episode 2:
Claudia's father comes to town and gives Lily an old Mustang. Shawn asks his father-in-law for money to help with renovations to the bar. (bar stuff is a subplot. main plot is that Claudia's dad forbids Shawn to drive the Mustang because he says he'll wreck it. When he does drive it he loses it in a street race for pink slips).
Episode 3 was last night.

ok that's strange. I opened the thread and the post explaining stuff from like 3am wasn't there (unless i'm insane, which is always a possiblity). Ah well, you can never have too much information I suppose

I was so relieved this show came back. I was afraid that FOX secretly cancelled another one of their best shows. They can't cancel the show with the hottest mom on TV!
They do need to get Grandpa back to bust Sean's chops some more.

Ahh here's what happened
NY Daily News 11/19/02
Fox's "Grounded for Life" has landed at the WB.
In what appears to be a first in recent years, "Grounded for Life," which started the season on Fox, will end it on the WB.
To that end, WB programmers were drawn to the strong performance of the show with younger audiences, a group the WB targets.
