Blockbuster Pre Viewed Video Game Prices? (buy 2 get 1 free)
Now that the buy 2 get 1 free sale is on again anyone know what some of the used prices on used titles should be??
I know it seems to vary from store to store a lot.
Any bargains out there?
I was interested in Hunter and Outlaw Golf on Xbox but both are marked $34.99 and Dead to Rights $39.99!!??

Since this deal is still ongoing, thought I'd start posting what deals were around my area. The PS2 selection is generally horrible (and I've had bad experiences with their stickers messing up my PS2), but there are a lot of Gamecube titles out, and I just got a GC!
Seen in my area:
Gamecube:
Animal Crossing 35 (without memory card)
Eternal Darkness 25
Mario Sunshine 35
Pikmin 20
RE remake 20
Sonic Battle 20 (marked at 25 at one store, but price was still 20)
Spiderman 20
Anybody see Starfox used?

I went to four Blockbuster stores yesterday and found Starfox Adventures for $34.99 at one of them. I did not buy it at the time because I could not find three games I wanted at that particular store.

GTA: Vice City for 25... it was behind a bunch of other PS2 games, and didn't come with instructions, but for that price, what the hey?

Not sure about nationwide pricing... I think there is a slight difference between independently owned stores and corporate stores. You might want to pricecheck it, though.
I had bought Sonic Adventure 2 battle with a pricetag of 25 at one blockbuster, only to see it at 19.99 at another. Before I went back to return it, I checked my receipt, and it had been priced at 19.99... despite the sticker.
Blockbuster had tons of Vice City to rent when it first came out, and I'm kinda surprised that this is the first used one I've seen. I was looking and looking for a game to return Animal Crossing for (since for 10 bucks more than their used cost, you get a new game plus a memory card) and it took me a while to spot it hidden behind stacks of Aggressive Inline...

Granted these prices are higher then what I was able to find before but these are also 3 games that I really wanted. So with the current sale I was able to get 3 used titles for the price of one new title.

Here in LA, found Mario Party 4 and HP for GCN both for 35 bucks. More expensive than Grimm1's finding, but I got Lord of the Rings, Two Towers for PS2 for free (35 bucks), right after seeing the movie.
Still no sign of Starfox or Super Monkey Ball 1 or 2, though.

I picked up Agent Under Fire for GCN for $14.99, Lost Kingdoms for GCN for $19.99 and got a $14.99 DVD free. Luckily both my games were in the original cases and had instructions.

There were 2 copies at my local store marked $39.99!!!???
and both felt "light" like they were missing instructions.

It also bugs me that nothing BB is sold with the original cases anymore, whether it is a game or DVD. Instead, they were sold in these beat-up lockable cases that they display with. According to a guy I talked to, BB pretty much just throws away the original cases as soon as they took out the game (and DVD), so sometimes you might be able to get a new game case from them if they didn't throw away everything.

I've noticed the lockable cases too. What's really odd is that some of the Gamecube games that I bought brand new had similar lockable cases, with the locks missing. I think Animal Crossing for sure had this. Never seen it on a PS2 game. Is Nintendo starting to use these cases as well?
At least they sometimes keep the manuals and most of the time have the cover art too. Always confuses me how they have some used games for sale without the cover on the box... it's not like they rent out the boxes themselves, so what happened to the game cover? Too worn? I remember before, they would give me photocopies of the instructions when I bought a used game, except it would inevitably be for the wrong game...
