DVD Talk Limited Edition
It's hardly as bad as everyone seems to think (AOTC was MUCH worse). It's a bit light but if you liked #1 I find it hard to imagine you wouldn't enjoy #2 unless your expectations are totally out of whack. Good humor and effects, plot a little goofy but the actors all do well enough with it.

A bad movie?
I am not really sure how anyone could say this is a bad movie. It was entertaining and the effects were pretty good. If you expect a life altering experience you should'nt be watching movies in the first place.

Not nearly as good as the first one, but that's in part because the clever premise is no longer clever. Still, Jones and Smith have some good chemistry, and it's fairly harmless light entertainment. The villains are pretty lame and unfunny compared to Vincent D'Onofrio's character from the first one, and the plot is less interesting than the characters and their actions. Not laugh-out-loud funny, but a few comedic moments.
Overall, not as bad as some people seem to be saying, but not as good as the original, which I really liked.
Two final random thoughts....Patrick Warburton is seriously underused and the product placement throughout is annoying.
