PS2 Lightgun Games
I was just doing some research into how light gun games are about the worst thing for a child to play, because it teachs to kill without remorse and I remembered how much I liked playing Time Crisis for the PS1, and even House of the Dead with it's horrid resolution on my Saturn.
What are the better lightgun games? I don't mind if the problem is "lack of replay value," because I tend to play through the games a whole lot in order to try and obtain perfection.
Oh, and is Time Crisis II OOP?

Time Crisis II and Vampire Night are two of the PS2 light gun games I own, and I love both of them. Both are out of print, so you will probably only find used copies occasionally at places like Babbage's and EB. I got lucky and picked up the last Time Crisis II(new) at Babbage's a few months back - I've only seen one there since, and one at EB, both for $49.99 used, and both were gone after the first day. Vampire Night is the hardest one to find. There is also Ninja Assault which was released maybe a month ago, but I haven't picked it up yet since I'm broke - maybe I can trade some DVDs for one.....
I've been looking for a copy of HotD for Saturn, but they go for about $40 on eBay, and I don't even have that to spend right now. I have HotD 2 for Dreamcast, but no light gun yet, and I don't like shooting with the controller.

i could be wrong, but Dino crisis is another gun game, i know i have it, but have yet to play it. i have close to 70 ps2 games and whipping my gun out isn't worth the trouble sometimes. Maybe i'll whip it out tonight and give it a whirl.
Time crisis has always been a great gun game, as well as point blanc, but thats more of a party gun game..

Hey, bud. Let me give you a tip. Go to Gamestop's home page and type in the game you are looking for. I wasn't sure if you wanted the GunCon 2 or not, but I did a search on Time Crisis II and at least two Gamestops (all Funcolands are now Gamestops in the Twin Cities) had the one with the gun in (1-3 copies).
Do that for your other games as well. You just click on the title, put in your zip code and the amount of miles you want to search. It will bring back how many were at each store as of last night. Hope this helps you.

I leave my GunCon2 connected all the time. I did go a while without using it though, after I got S-Video cables. I couldn't find the adapter that would allow me to use the GC2 with S-Video, and it became a pain switching between composite and S-Video to use it, so I just put it up. I finally got the adapter about a month ago, so I just leave it hooked up now.

Police 911. It's that awesome cop/SWAT shooting arcade game with the motion sensor so that you can actually dodge incoming fire. It hasn't been released on the US PS2 yet for some reason, but it's out in the UK as Police 24/7 and in Japan as Keisatsukan.
I haven't played the home versions, but if the translation is accurate (and why shouldn't it be? The arcade graphics are nice but not bleeding edge), then it should be a fantastic shooter. They apparently simulated the sensor for home using a simple USB webcam!

Anyone heard anything about Ninja Assault (was thinking about picking that up w/ Guncon, and then getting the copy of Time Crisis 2 w/out guncon remaining at a local funcoland)
