Yes it walks you through the setup. It appears it easier if you use one of the major isp's (aol, msn, earthlink, att, etc) This is definitly what I would call networking for dummies. Except everytime a start a game I have not used the network yet I have to reboot the system it doesn't work otherwise the first time.

so can you use if you dont have an isp? the reason why im asking is because we have cable modem. but the main connectionis in my dads office upstairs, and my ps2 is in the basement. but i get internet down there on a wireless network. i dont know how i could hook up the adapter through a wireless network, although i know it can be done, i dont know that much about computers, plus i dont want to spend any money getting all kinds of crap to do it. i thought i heard that you could just get the adapter, plug it into a phone jack on the wall and you can play online. is this true?

No, you need an ISP in order to play.
There should be a cable from the wireless connection that goes into the computer in the basement. Disconnect the cable from the computer, plug it into the PS2 NA and you should be good to go.
