Need TV help
I'm asking this question for my dad. He's looking for a new TV for a spare room, and he wants one of those thin TV's (what are they called? LCD's? I'm clueless about this stuff). Anyhow, he wants a 17" TV, but the problem is he also wants to be able to plug in headphones. All of the TVs he's seen have the headphone input in the back. My dad's pretty particular, and he wants the headphone input in the front, since the TV will be used with headphones fairly frequently. Anyone got any help?
Thanks in advance.

What's his budget? When you say that he's looked at tvs already, were those LCDs? Another thing to consider is that most LCDs -- see here not only don't have a headphone jack, but probably won't have a tv tuner on board. Not to mention a 17" LCD will set him back around $1000.
How much space does he have? A 20" or so direct-view CRT (aka "traditional") set shouldn't be too deep, and I'm sure they make those with headphone jacks. Just checked. Yep.

Well, I don't know if it has to be an LCD, unless that's the only kind of "flat" TV (i.e. thin). He's looking for the flat/thin thing, and it really is a small space. He says that he has seen ones with the headphone jack in the back (like this one http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=...t=24&scat=1222 ) but none in the front... I wouldn't say money is no object, but I think he knows they will be pricey.
Oh well.
