Well not always, Inside Drive is pretty good (although critically not enjoyed), but other than that most people hate them because of bad quality. Why can't Sony and MS throw a lot of money at them or get them to rebuild the games from the ground up and hopefully improving them? I mean Fever should have the best graphics out of all (and it does although most people don't appreciate the style of graphics) but also the AI should be good as well with extra processing power. And 989 should make a prettier Sony game than EA since 989 doesn't have to worry about cross platform code porting.
I just don't get it.
(I do like Fever, but recognize that I'm in the extreme minority, thus the post)

i read somewhere that sports games make the most money out of all the genres in video games, so maybe they just make the game just to cash in...and not worryin much about the quality cuz it will most likely sell.....just my 2 cents..

I'm assuming its probably very difficult and time consuming to make a good sports game. Even Sega and EA have had years when their Sports games were bad.
I'm pretty sure 989 Studios is under funded and rushed every year to release their titles. Microsofts games are better, but still not up to the quality of Sega and EA. Microsoft may improve over time though. I doubt 989 will ever make a game worth buying.
Just my own though, but I think Nintendo's Ken Griffey Jr Baseball and even NBA Courtside were decent games. I guess sports games just don't sell well enough on Nintendo consoles for them to bother developing them anymore though. They abandoned Baseball long ago and the last seasons Courtside will be the last one as well.

I think the title should read "Why do all first party games from Sony & MS suck?" Nintendo doesn't have a problem in this area.
