When Sammy Davis Kisses Archie.

Any scene with curvy Gloria "bouncing" about.

So many great moments.

But the funniest episode was when Archie picked up the he/she in the taxi.

Archie's face when he finds out that she is really a he....pure hilarity.

The best dramatic moment in the comedy series is obviously when Edith is almost raped by the intruder. I get goosebumps everytime I see that episode. The follow up episode shows how great an actress Jean Stapleton really is.

Also the episode where Archie is drunk with the basement locked.

For some reason the one I remember the most is when Archie and Meathead are arguing about how to put on shoes and socks.
One does it two socks and two shoes and the other puts on a sock and a shoe and a sock and a shoe. Then there is some funny comment about jumping up and down to stay dry.

I'm not sure but it has to be a scene where Lionel really 'played' the black sterotype (in Archie's mind) in front of Archie.

My mother recently recalled that very episode when I was changing my shoes in front of her.

I personally like the episode about Archie's chair and how he almost sells it. Mainly because I am attached to a chair of my own.

My favorite episode was the one where he locked himself in the basement with a bottle of vodka.

In a drunken stupor he's on his knees praying to God for deliverance, and he hears this really low voice saying "Where are you Mr. Bunker?", Archie says "I'm here lord!".

Cut to the final scene when his "deliverer" is a black man, Archie drops to his knees and says, "I'm sorry Lord, I didn't know".

"Forgive me Lord. The Jefferson's were right"

My favorite moment is just a look from Archie. It was the episode where Archie bet Meathead that he could give up cigars longer than Mike could give up food. They shake on the deal, and Edith calls everyone to the table for lunch. As they are walking, Meathead says, "Maybe we should begin after lunch." Archie's expression is truly priceless. Then again, I could go on for a long time trying to pick out great moments from "All in the Family".

Honk!
