Big ebgames screwup...wish it was true...

While browsing through the latest Electronic Gaming Monthly, I stumbled upon an ad for ebgames. Pictured in the middle of the second page is what would be the coolest Gamecube game, but alas it has to be a mistake. If only they would re-make Zelda: A Link to the Past for the GC...maybe update the GFX a bit, something along the lines of Animal Crossing?

Yeah I caught that too.

At least it's a good sign that "Celda" will make it's February date, or close to it, as I'm sure that's supposed to mean that you can pre-order it now.

According to "EBGames Guy" when I was in there the other day, Zelda was delayed until June. (However, I never trust "EBGames Guy", so hopefully he's wrong)

You sure it's a mistake? I mean, that's not just a lazy cut and paste job - that GC Zelda "box art" was done seperately from the GBA one... seems like alot of time spent on something for it to be a goof. I have no idea about the world of Zelda except I played one of the first NES ones and I played this new GC one (oi vey), so maybe you fans know that this happening would never happen or something.

In Eb's latest gift catalog, they repeat the mistake, only this time with screenshots.

Weird.

I know the rumor is in Japan if you preordered the new GC Zelda, they are giving some sort of OoT remake, but that's all, nothing about ALttP.

This would be the greatest thing ever....I'm buying that, and one of those GBA/TV adapters and never leaving my house again so as it is.

Has to be a goof. That was the title of the old SNES version they are remaking for GBA.

And what's wrong with the GC version?

No need to buy the adapter ... just get the GBA cartridge attachment for the GC that is coming out.

Its a goof, and a lousy cut and paste job. The "4 swords" is included in the GBA version. The Gamecube game is called The Legend of Zelda: Kaze no Takuto (or Wand of the Wind). If you preorder it in Japan you also get Zelda: The Ocarina of Time and Zelda: URA which was never released. I recently read that it was originally only for the first 100,000 preorders, but the retailers had asked nintendo to increase the amount because they were long sold out of preorders, so now they changed it so anyone who preorders it will get it. its a good sign that they might be doing it over here

I guess there's nothing actually "wrong" with it - it's just not my taste I guess. I don't mind cell-shading on some stuff, but when I saw the original zelda Gamecube videos and then played this new celda version I lost 110% of all interest I had in the game.

About the GC Zelda: Nintendo is running an awesome ad before the new Harry Potter film. The ad showed a lot of game footage (of course) and intercut that with a young Zelda describing all of the cell-shaded carnage. The last line she utters is something like " and all this is to rescue me". Pretty cool IMO .
