C.S.I. 11/21/02 "Snuff"

This was one of the best CSI's I've seen in awhile!

Grisson had some great lines:

"Male or female?"
"Anthill."

I also loved the Sarah's last line to the photographer/HIV guy (the actor happens to be Tom Cruise's cousin).

Grissom did have some good lines.
When they find the dead guy covered in ants:

"I'm going to have to take this body and box back to the lab as- is. These insects are evidence."

This is a very good episode. I thought it's Catherine who said the last line to the guy that 'she killed him back'.

I can never understand how someone can get into the frame of mind to kill someone, especially a pre-meditated murder, and then to film the thing.

Good episode though, and there sure were a few arnings about the adult content

The Grissom quote on how retarded the cowboy life was going to become was LOL funny because of the look on the face of the cowboy in the same frame.

Sarah did wail into that scumbag director with her last line as well.

BTW, that director was played by William Mapother, who is the cousin of Tom Cruise, he always shows up in most of Cruise's movies. He has Cruise's real last name "Mapother"

I dunno, even though what he did was obviously reprehensible, I thought Catherine and Sarah were rather a little too glib at the end about him contracting AIDS.

I did enjoy Grissom pointing out how retarded the cowboy's life was about to become.

Hey, the director got what he deserved due to his actions. Glib or not, I found the line okay even in that circumstance (especially when you consider the director has that look on his face that he just realized he's so totally F'd himself up by his snuff film).

I mentioned that in the first post as well. He's always plays "scumbag/white trash" characters really well. I think he looks a lot like Brian the used car salesman/soft core porn king from this season's "Survivor".

I loved Catherine & Sarah's taunt of him. I think it was especially fitting that the two female CSI's did it. I also loved it when they said they "dipped into the budget" to get his HIV test back fast.

But even they pointed out to him that if he got to a doctor early enough there would be lots of drugs he could take to prevent getting full-blown AIDS. I think that was great how basically they held that over his head, so you knew he'd confess. Of course, if this show was the Practice Bobby & the gang would try to throw out the confession.

I also loved Grissom's "retarded" line to the cowboy.

I just didn't want people to be searching for "Cruise" for the actor's last name playing the porno director.

Yeah, I know his face but could never remember his name. My husband, however, said during the opening credits "Isn't that Tom Cruise's cousin?" so we were waiting for him to appear.

Really enjoyed last nights episode. My roommate comes in during the last scene, having never seen the show, and said, god, they are sooo Dramatic!!
This show kinda makes you want to be in forensics even though Its not as glamourous as they show on the show.

Good show, but a little to graphic. Some sceens would be rated R in the movies.

There was an advisory before the show: something like "This show contains Adult Content"

C.S.I. is top notch. They push the envelope a little as far as network tv goes (ie the nudity from season 1). But it's not tasteless.

Too bad this isn't on HBO. It could do a lot more.

Great episode.
