Strange Circuit City deal for Metroid Prime and Fusion...can anyone confirm?
Somone posting at GameFAQs message boards said that they bought Metroid Prime at Circuit City, and the CSR ringing him up said that they had a promotion where if you bought Metroid Prime, you could get Metroid Fusion for only a penny. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

The deal is something like this: You buy a GC and Metroid Prime, you get a 25 gift card. You then can turn around and pickup fusion for 1 cent.
believe this is covered in the metroid Prime deal thread. perhaps not.

Along with the $25 GC you also get $20 off of the GC & Metroid Prime total.
$149 + $49 - $20 - $25 = $153..........Not bad

The gift card can not be used on the GC purchase.

I think the CSR just rang him up without the knowledge that he had to purchase the console. Lucky bastard...
So far, this is the best Metroid Prime deal i've seen, provided that you wish to purchase Metroid Fusion.

Plus, at CC, you get a limited edition "cell" (really just a picture of the box coverart of either fusion or prime, numbered). Hey, it's not much, but it got me to buy Fusion over there instead of Target or BB (all had the same price_)
