Online Console gaming question

I cant remember so maybe someone can help me out. Can you play any of the sports games over the internet on different consoles? I thought I remembered reading somewhere that you could play Xbox vs PS2 online in NFL2k3. Has anyone done this? Is it even possible in this years crop of games?

I would have to say No on this one but I could be wrong. I really don't know of any sport games that can play each other and I haven't heard of any plans.

You are not wrong. This is a big fat NO. Just think about it for a minute. These guys are fighting for online supremecy so they are not going to be hooking up online together. Just like Sega gave NHL2K3 ONLINE only for Xbox and EA gave Madden 2003 ONLINE only for the PS2.
By the way, LIVE launched and after playing the games they released, which are all 9+ reviewed games, the online war has swung majorly in favor of the Xbox. They didn't just throw out one good title and some goofy party games but came full force with LIVE.

How hard is X-Box Live up and running? Besides an X-Box, what else do I need to get going?

Just a live kit and a broadband connection (and live games unless you just want to play the demos). Depending on your setup you might need soe sort of router as well but it's not completely necessary.

Anyone want to guess how well Live has been doing in comparison to predictions by Microsoft? I'm just wondering if it's doing well or not. TIA.
