HBO Parks 'Curb' for Fourth Season
By Nellie Andreeva
LOS ANGELES (The Hollywood Reporter) --- HBO has given two enthusiastic thumbs up to "Curb Your Enthusiasm," picking up Larry David's offbeat comedy for a fourth season.
The docu-style single-camera comedy, which stars David as an off-kilter comic version of himself, is wrapping its third season Sunday.
No decision has been made yet on "Curb" companion "The Mind of the Married Man."
"Curb," which premiered in October 2000, was an outgrowth of David's 1999 HBO special of the same name. The series, which quickly became a cult favorite, chronicles the "Seinfeld" co-creator's life at home, at work and around town as he gets into predicaments with fictional and real-life personalities. "Curb" is shot with no scripted dialogue from a bare-bones story outline.
This year, the series landed its first two Emmy nominations, including one for best comedy. The show was chosen best comedy series by the American Film Institute.
"Curb's" third season is running in HBO's prime Sunday 10 p.m. period, following original episodes of the cable channel's juggernaut drama "The Sopranos." The comedy's season premiere, airing behind the season opener of the mob drama, drew 5.5 million viewers, the largest audience ever for the series.
The show co-stars Jeff Garlin as David's agent and Cheryl Hines as David's wife. It is executive produced by David, Garlin and Gavin Polone.

I, for one, couldn't be happier. Sadly, they haven't decided to renew Mind Of The Married Man yet.

This is great news! For some reason I was under the impression the show was done, I'm glad it's not... it's easily one of the funniest shows on TV right now... There's something about Larry David; his look, his personality, and the way he walks and talks that makes you laugh just looking at him. He was definitely the reason Seinfeld was so great. You can tell after he left that show went downhill.

That would be cool if they brought this back for another 10 episodes in the spring instead of making us wait a year for a new season.
I'd love to see this show after Six Feet Under as well as the Sopranos.
