NFL 2k3 takes a price cut
For those of you who need a new football game, you're in luck. Sega Sports NFL 2k3 appears to have taken a price cut across the board. The new price, following that of NCAA 2k3, is now 29.99. Circuit City and Ebgames both have it listed at that price and with the sale at Best Buy, this price should stay. If you dont own it, I highly recommend it. Support Sega Sports, their games are great and need to get a jumpstart to create a buzz.

I doubt Fever played much of a role in the price drop.
1. Fever got pretty crappy reviews.
2. Madden is their main competition and it kicked the crap out of 2K3 in sales.
3. Fever's only on the X-box, 2K3 is on all systems. They'd have little reason to drop the price on a multi-console game just because of a game on one system.

That's quick work on the part of sega. Especially since it was beaten so soundly by Madden. I think if they had started out even 5 bucks lower, that would've attracted more buyers.
I know that for me, Madden and 2K were a deadlock, but I went with 2K because it was only 40 dollars at KB Toys just a week after release date.

I'd say it has more to do with the fact that Sega recently announced that they are getting hammered now. They aren't doing nearly as well as they had hoped.
