Recommendations for RPG games for PS2?

Can people recommend RPG games for PS2. I don't have any yet, the last game I played was Zelda on N64 and really liked that. Are there any games that are that style? Thanks

Try Wild Arms 3. It has dungeons and puzzles kinda like Zelda. It can't match Zelda's dungeons and puzzles of course but it's still fun.

Kingdom Hearts

If you like the traditional RPG style then final fantasy 10 and suikoden 3.

For all 3 of Excelesor's suggestions. Star Ocean 3 looks like its going to be real good too.

All the ones mentioned so far get a vote from me too, they're what I woulda mentioned but was beat to it I enjoyed Summoner too, though some folks found it too long and drawn out.

I have been reading some reviews on other sites. How does dark cloud compare to these suggestions? Final Fantasy looks pretty cool, I'll have to put that one on my list. Still waiting for my memory cards to arrive in the mail. Two cards for 31.99 was too hard to pass up.

Kingdom Hearts for the action RPG.

But the best RPG this year goes to Suikoden 3, a traditional style RPG.

Other PS2 RPGs that have been already released:
Okage
Dual Hearts
Final Fantasy X
Summoner 1
Summoner 2
Wild Arms 3
Grandia Xtreme
Shadow Hearts
Ephermal Fantasia
Tsugunai
Wizardry
Eternal Ring
Forever Kingdom
Legaia 2
Jade Cocoon 2
Harvest Moon
Dark Cloud
Evergrace
Orphen
Grandia 2
King's Field

Some are traditional; some are action; and some are strategy RPGs.

Just to be contrary, and to make a point, I hated Final Fantasy X. You might too!

Final Fantasy X, of course, without a doubt.
--- the ultimate RPG game -----

How else do you think they keep making it to now, it's the 10th version of the game?

What type of RPG is Zelda64? Is that considered traditional?

I don't consider Zelda 64 to be a RPG at all. I think it's more of an action/adventure game.

Okage was the funniest rpg I ever played. I highly recommend Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts . If you haven't played any of the PS1 rpgs, please try out:
Final Fantasy VII-IX
Chrono Cross
Vagrant Story
Xenogears
Valkyrie Profile
Arc the Lad Collection
Dragon Warrior VII
Alundra
Brave Fencer Mushashi

The last two being more similar to Zelda in terms of the action/adventure element.

Suikoden 3 is all you need...the best on PS2 IMO. I think it slightly tops FFX, but both are incredible games. S3 is easily longer though.

For action rpgs i.e hack and slash rpgs, Kingdom Hearts is awesome!

for turn based rpg's:

Suikoden III- I rented this last weekend, it is excellent. It starts out kinda slow in the beginning but the more I play the more i like it. The story so far has made up for any shortcomings it has, its very engrossing. Highly reccomended.

Final Fantasy X

Wild Arms 3

Grandia 2

I have heard Dual Hearts is also pretty god but i have had a chance to check it out.

Star Ocean 3 is my my top anticipated game but it'll be awhile until it comes out here
