Will football cut into Futurama next week?

Ok, season premire of futurama.. I'm on the east coast.. Will football cut into futurama?

I mean come on Fox. give us fans a chance. try not to kill this series to much. they already buried the hole in the ground for it. Will they actually let us see it or will they just pre-empt it with football like they did the 7:30 episode of the simpsons tonight?

Don't worry, Fox knows what they're doing. After all, they only have so many choice primetime slots, and these are reserved for superior shows like "Girls Club."

I thought it was cancelled?

If it is still on the air then WOO HOO! I think Futurama has been funnier than The Simpsons the last couple of years.

Isn't it kinda ironic that your username is a Simpson's character?

Ok, no real answer. It's tonight. the west coast will get it no doubt, but will the east coast get it?

Considering they have so much time to play with, I'm surprised fox still screws this show over.. Ok, I'm not surprised, this is fox after all.

Anyone have any info if the show will be screwed over because of football?

I *THINK* that CBS has the football doubleheader today, and since FOX is showing a 1 PM game today...
it should be good.

Well, at least here it is.

Football runs over... Who would have thought it would...

Stupid fox. they could easily put Futurama in the 7:30 spot were a repeat of the simpsons was at (Oh cause the public wants to see reruns of simpsons instead of a new futurama)

Looks like fox really does want to hammer the nails to its coffen

and in the middle they congradulated it for winning an emmy for best animated show...why treat it like crap then? they should promote it a litte and maybe the ratings will go up

So am I, and it showed right on schedule. Well, 7:00 schedule. I turned on the TV a little earlier than normal and was pleasantly surprised, though I did miss a few minutes.

Pretty funny too -- headless body of Agnew.

"Futurama" was on here in the magical land of Central Time, suprisingly there was a movie on before "Futurama" and not a football game.

I'm happy that "Futurama" was on and i'm glad Fox recognised that "Futurama" was on thier network (most promos dont mention it)

but its really too little too late.

Then we have february sweeps, where Fox tries to play with the big boys by runing blockbuster movies edited for TV or multiple episodes of King of the Hill.

This can't start on the Cartoon Network soon enough for me.

I'd prefer to have the show on DVD, but i suppose Cartoon Network is a consolation.

Here in Cleveland, Fox programming didn't start until 8. The 7:00 and 7:30 shows were pre-empted with weather/tornado reports in the area.

Anyone know if our local stations might air the "lost" Futurama sometime this week or next?
