suggestions about brands of recievers etc...

i work at a Future Shop in Canada and i am interested in either Denon, Marantz or Harman Kardon recievers. I am only looking to spend about 500 canadian on a refurbished mint condition one that is comparable to the HK AVR 225 or 320 or possible the 520 if its a steal. I am not familar what Denon and Marantz's comparable models are but is there a site i can look at or can anyone suggest models and places i can look for the cheapest amp that is amazing quality.

Future Shop can get me cost +10% but it is not sufficient to my budget and i was told from my Department Sales Manager it might be easy to find refurbished ones if i looked.

any help and suggestions would be awesome!

Check out this thread for some references to Denon:

Also, check out http://www.audioreview.com for specific models and the many review that they will have.

I'm a huge fan of Denon...I have a 4800 and have installed several 3802's for friends. In your price range, consider the 2802 or as someone mentioned in the other thread, there is apparently a 1803 that is due out soon.

As for Marantz, I've only played with the 5000, 7000, and 8000 a couple of years back. They are good for the money. The SR5200, if its anything like its predecessor the SR5000, is a good reciver for the money. However, at that price range, I'd look at the Denon line.
