Experiences wanted: XBox MagicBox compatibality with DC MadCatz Wheel?
Bought the "MagicBox" from Liksang.com which is an accessory which will allow playing of Dreamcast controllers (including Steering wheels like the MadCatz kind) on the XBox. That's why I bought the thing but when trying it out with Nascar Thunder 2003 my DC Madcatz wheel makes the game go crazy... I think it is continually sending the "A" button signal to the XBox and the game goes straight to a race then rapidly pauses and continues etc.
I did do a bunch of tests using other inputs and even went out and got a XBox madcatz wheel and it works so it doesn't seem to be the game itself, the DC Wheel is working with the DC, so not the wheel, and when I plug a DC regular controller into the MagicBox, the controller does work properly with the Xbox. I did fire off an email questioning the accuracy of their FAQ's there at Liksang.
I know I can just keep the XBox Wheel but the reason I got the MagicBox adapter was to save a few bucks on the $60 wheel and also to have the capability of using the standard DC controller with other games. Kind of a two-birds-with-one-stone theory.
Anyways, sorry for the length, just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this situation. Thanks in advance.
