Any cover that is under 150dpi is not really fit for quality printing. So please use you own discretion before printing out any cover!

Feel free to post cover requests and links to other covers in this thread.

BizRodian:

I like you also love the French cover....there are a few places where you could get the original french cover....try cdcovers.cc look under the french version.....

By the way...have you seen the Kiss of the Dragon (digipack-2cd's plus the DVD package) cover....not the one with Jet Li's face but the one with the tat on his arm all in black......you could see it at cinestore.com....

The French are truly masters of DVD art.....we dont have to argue about it......amazing(look at BRAVEHEART-2DVD SET, THE LAST SEDUCTION, SLEEPERS, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN PARIS).....great, great French work.....al of these are on the same site....cinestore.com

Let me know if you could get any of these.....

BizRodian

Well, the french one at cdcovers.cc I don't like, it's the one I have now. The German one, however, is one I do like :D

So thank you.

I'll have to look at Cinestore.com sometime to look at the other ones.

Anybody made any progress on a Grease cover using the artwork of John and Olivia on the car?

Shelf-waster idea #4: Anybody thought of making individual (yet coordinated) covers for all the John Waters movies?

I'm still looking for Custom covers for these

The Haunting (Original B&W Version)
The Thing From Another World (Howard Hawkes)

-A SINGLE COVER FOR ALL OF THESE WOULD BE GREAT-
Earth Vs. The Spider (Original AIP Version)
Teenage Caveman (Original AIP Version)
How To Make A Monster (Original AIP Version)
The Day The World Ended (Original AIP Version)
She-Creature (Original AIP Version)

Oh great now we are getting coverrequests from pirates.

JJE-187
10-20-02, 02:11 AM
Actually I don't see how copying a movie that you own is "piracy" No money traded hands in the copying of the films, I simply sent a blank DVD-R for eaach movie I wanted and paid the shipping costs. Piracy is stealing copyrighted material, and I didn't do that. I copied them from a "pay" channel i.e. a channel that I pay money for so I actually bought the movie, so save your piracy rant for the real bootleggers out there.

P.S. do a search through these threads and you will see that people have been asking for covers for real pirate movies (Star Wars & Indiana Jones) not available on legit R1 DVDs long before me.

PLEASE KEEP THESE THREADS FOR COVER REQUEST ONLY.
IF THE MODS DON"T WANT US REQUESTING COVERS FOR "THOSE" TYPES OF FILMS I'M SURE THEY WOULD LET ME KNOW

Just an update, I've posted all of Disc-Flippers Friday the 13th's on my site for downloading...The Pt. 3 3-D cover is amazing IMO.

I'm still working on the 5 Star Edition Template, but without the correct font for the logo it's not going to look as good as it should. So if anyone can track this down for me that would be great.....

There's some new covers coming soon that I have to say are the best work I have ever done. Those should be up around Halloween.

Thanks to those of you that have joined my forum. I hope that more of you will join to post pics and requests. There are some good things being posted there....

Also Ryan says that the software for the site should work and be up and running shortly (hopefully). Once that happens everyone will be able to contribute covers...

I'm also working on some matching SCREAM customs....Someone requested this on another board and I have a few ideas that should be good if I can implement them.

BTW Jason,
Did you want me to replace the old Nightmare Enclyclopedia with your newer version???? If so email me and let me know....

Been in search of a few coverscans for a while now with no luck.

Does any one happen to have any of these?

An American Werewolf In London (US R1 version, all English language)
Vanilla Sky (US R1 version, all English language)
Slackers (US R1 version, all English language)
Changing Lanes (US R1 version, all English language)
American Psycho - unrated (US R1 version, all English language)

I've got all of these but have either an inferior R2 cover or bilingual English/French canadian covers which look awful on the shelf.

Thanks In Advance.

Yeah I'm working on it..It's tough with the foil. I'm having to use multiple reference materials. I basically want it to look identical to the real cardboard sleeve.
It should be finished soon.....I hope :)

Uhm you know that you can D/L a 300dpi picture of the originial front cover on www.prayfordaylight.com right?

joliom
10-22-02, 07:06 AM
For everyone who wanted Saturday Night Fever but couldn't handle the attachment size:

Another member clued me in to dividing the cover into self-extracting volumes. Doing this means that I can send one half of the cover at a time, thereby reducing the size of each attachment to something more manageable. Once you've received both halves (in separate emails), you simply open the first (using whatever image editing software you prefer) and your computer will apparently recombine the two halves automatically (with no loss of quality, of course). If this interests any of you, email me and I will make arrangements to send you the cover this way (i.e. I send you one half, you email me back to let me know you've received it and had time to clear it from your inbox, and then I send you the second half). Sound good?

Any thoughts on doing a custom job on Scooby Doo using the advance poster art found here http://vclips.com/postersfast/images/posters/large/1416493716.jpg

I would think the spine would have to be re-done as well since the current cover bleeds into the spine and it wouldn't match up with this alternate art.

Anyway, I thought I would at least make the request as I really liked the advance poster a lot better than the cover the studio used.

Is there any place to buy the glossy ink-jet paper online? (Or where do you get it at B&Ms?)

That's a FAQ that might belong at the beginning of these threads with the other info.

This E.T. cover mess has finally gotten me interested in replacing a few of my worst packages, but I've got no idea where to get the paper.

For those requesting an alternate E.T. cover, here is mine. Designed for double Amaray case (single width) The front is original poster art, back is taken from back of 2-disc edition with two minor corrections(additions). 1) Disc 2 label now reads Original Version 2) Disc two is now listed as Dual Layer. BTW: Please be gentle, this is my first posted cover:)

Nice cover Meat, A little work and it would perfect.
(these are just my opinions, and yes I know I seem picky, But I would like it to match the other Universal Collector's Editions)
1.You could add the "blue light" effect to the E.T. on the spine

2.Add "Widescreen Version" to the bottom of the
front and "Limited Collector's Edition" to the top of the front

3.Add "Widescreen" to the top of the spine

4.Change the back color to Black with White Lettering.

Couple of things:

I'm open to doing it for others, but I really don't care for pasting WIDESCREEN all over the place (mainly because in my collection, it's a given).

The majority (all the ones that I have at least) of Universal Collector's editions use gold bars on the front, which I didn't think would look good on this cover.

I'm working on a black back, however it will have less information than the "real" one does.

Any opinions/suggestions are VERY welcome.

I say leave the back, but just put the DTS specs in the box for the second disc, and as a suggestion for a widescreen banner, maybe something along the lines of the blue color that the back sports.

Anyone working on a cover for the 3-disc Ultimate Box Set version of E.T.? I would like to replace the cardboard digipak packaging with an Alpha triple. And since I keep all my soundtracks with my CD collection, I would especially like the back to leave off any info about the CD. I thought I'd find out before I waste any time on this myself.

Looking for amaray covers scans for:

Looks great. 2 quick questions......ok...three.....

1) Any chance you can post a link to the hi-rez cover? I don't know if a file as big as this will be will get through our mail system. It will probably get stripped off the mail message.

2) Any chance you can rework it for a double wide case? I wouldn't mind if there was just more black space on the spine, but I would love a double wide option

3) Boy, am I going to use up a lot of black ink on this one.......

And for everyone else, the only other cover I have ever used was a replacement for Total Recall. I printed on regular paper and it did come out ok. Is there an option for glossy like legal paper to print these on????

MysteryMeat, you've got that cover looking great! One suggestion, how would it look if you made the white "The Extra-Terrestrial" lettering on the spine a bit smaller, blue, and italicized to match the front. Just a thought, aside from that it looks terrific, good work!

joliom
10-23-02, 11:07 AM
MysteryMeat, I'd like to second that call for a double-wide spine (and the blue itallisized 'Extra-Terrestrial' on the spine). That would make your cover useful to those of us who have the 3-disc box set version as well. Great work!

Uploaded Mickey Mouse, still working on Silly Symphonies. I'll try to finish it and upload it there tomorrow. Exams have been murder.

Most of you know my site www.customcoverart.com has been down for awhile....well I got this in my email today.....

Dear Client,

You must all be knowing that the network is down. The reason is
that the Cogentco has switched off the connection to the
Datacenter where we were located this caused 600+ servers to go
down. When we asked cogentco about it they said that there was a
huge Network Abuse, Warez from the Datacenter which made us
disconnect the DC in chicago. The Datacenter is working out for an
alternative connection form Yipes which is far more superior then
Cogent. The Data Center gave us an as estimated time of 2-4
Business days for new connection to be fixed and up. All the
servers will be allotted new IP's.

All this happend all of a sudden without any prior notice.

We have been working out with other datacenters so that we can
have new servers up there ASAP!, but even if we get our new
servers up in other NOC we wont be able to get our Data till the
time the current DC is UP.
We took an an estimated time for both options:
1.To get new servers in some other NOC and recreate everything
back and change the IP's
2.To wait for the new network to come up at the current NOC and
change the IP's. In this case we dont have to create everything
again.

Where the second option was good enough, as you all know that we
just setup everything and things were running absolutely fine. Its
is all of a sudden this incident has occuered.

When things are Up and running fine we plan to increase the Space
& Bandwidth Quota of all the resellers and Bandwidth for all
Dedicated Server Clients to compensiate. This wil be premium
Bandwidth not Cogent.

We will regularly keep you all updated of whats heppening, and as
soon as I have new IP's in our Hand we will send you an email for
the same.

As you can see our email server is also down because of this, if
you have any questions please feel free to mail us at
dreamzsolutions@rediffmail.com
Please be sure that at this point we are receiveing hundreds of
emails so the responce time maybe longer than usual.

Again we sincerely regret of what has happend.

So my site should be up next week and I was also told that all my files are secure.

Chris

I stumbled on this forum and thread by accident and am quite glad I did. I've been wondering for months how to convert my cardboard slip cases to keep cases.

I've found the following cover scans and downloaded them:
Citizen Kane
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Fight Club
Insomnia
Memento: LE (Custom art)
Pulp Fiction
Se7en
Toy Story: Ultimate Box.

Thanks to all who designed them and made them available to download.

I still need the following:

Almost Famous: The Bootleg Cut
Amelie
Boogie Night: Platinum Edition
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Widescreen Version of course)
Jackie Brown
Jerry Maguire: SE
Moulin Rouge
Terminator 2: Ultimate Edition (This one is by far the most diffucult to do I realize, cause of the silver casing, but if there's anyone that has managed to scan it and made a cover of it somehow, kudos to you.
Unforgiven: 10th Anniversary Edition
X-Men
Friends Season 1 and 2
Simpsons Seasons 1 and 2
