When's the last time a TV show made you cry?
I can't really remember getting super emotional while watching a TV show, though I remember being upset when the DA woman from "Lois and Clark" blew up in her car.
Also, I think some of my friends were pretty wrecked when Rebecca Gayheart's character died in 90210, but I wasn't very emotional about it (I think one of my friends might have spoiled it for me before I actually saw the show).
I thought I would be emotional when some of my favorite shows went off the air (90210, Party of Five, etc....yes, I watched those shows ), but I don't think the series finales were too heart-tugging, so I didn't get emotional about them.

Anyways, there 2 that come to mind:
1) On Wiseguy, the episode "No One Gets Out of Here Alive", pretty much from the point Vinnie and Sonny stop fist fighting to the end had me choked up. Between the emotional pain they both showed, Sonny asking "How will you remember me?", the music, and Sonny's death, there wasn't much time to recover from being choked up.
2)All In the Family When Mike and Gloria move out. Archie and Mike's interaction put a lump in my throat.

TV deaths don't get to me.
TV weddings don't get to me.
But a final episode for a series I've watched for a while, especially if the characters themselves are moving on and saying goodbye to each other, always puts a manly tear in my eye.

Yeah, but look at the shows you watch.
For me, maybe last year's Once & Again finale.

Last shot of M*A*S*H when Hawkeye is lifting of in the helicopter and BJ is riding off on his motorbike. BJ couldn't say goodbye, so he spelled it out in sandbags. When Hawkeye saw it, hate to admit it, but I teared up a bit.

It's amazingly rare for anything in a movie or television show to put a lump in my throat, let alone make me tear up. For some reason though, Jimmy Smit's last episode of NYPD Blue made me water up.

I don't think I've ever cried from a TV show. I don't get too involved in them. A movie, now, that's a totally different ballgame. Everytime I watch Forrest Gump, I weep like a little girl.

The end of Quantum Leap. The end of Cheers.
Not that I cry at the end of all series I watch. I teared up at the end of The X Files, but that was because I was sorry I had invested that much time in that show.
For TV Miniseries, though, Lonesome Dove. Gets me every time.

Last episode of M.A.S.H mentioned above.
The excellent Wiseguy episode with Sonny mentioned earler.
Jimmy Smits swan song on NYPD Blue also mentioned earlier.
Firefly because it sucked so bad.

ER: when Mark Greene died.
Buffy: when Tara was shot and Willow started screaming . And when Xander was talking to Willow at the end of last seasons finale
Angel: "I Will Remember You" when he was human for a day.
And every damn time I watch something on TLC about births or sick kids. I am SUCH a sap!!!

But the final words were: "And Dr. Sam Beckett never returned home."

You shouldn't have asked, because I swear I read in the dvd talk forum that Quantum Leap is coming to DVD soon. And doesn't Sci-Fi rerun it still? Well, maybe by the time it comes out, you will forget.
I remember tearing up when Sam lept into his teenage self.
I don't watch too many dramas on tv. I might've got a lump in my throat when Sherry Stringfield left ER. I'm not sure if I was sad or pissed off when Peter McNichol got shot on Chicago Hope. I pretty much quit watching both of those shows after those moments
I can tell you one that gets me every time. Taxi when Jim's dad dies and leaves him a trunk. When he finally opens it and starts going through all the stuff while, "You are the Sunshine of my Life" is playing. That's a rough one!

Magnum, PI - last episodes, 7th season... "LIMBO" Magnum gets shot in a warehouse and he's laying in a coma in a hospital bed, he makes his rounds by way of an out of body experience, visiting friends and ultimately saying saving and saying goodbye to michelle before walking off into the clouds as higgins yells his name.
it was to be the final episode, but they brought him back for season 8.

The X-Files episode Closure, the final scene where mulder embraces the ghost of his sister and then says to Scully, "I'm free." The use of Moby's My Weakness makes this scene even more emotional.

I'm 100% serious on this one:
"The Simpsons." After telling the story of LIsa's first word, Homer is tucking in Maggie and says "The sooner kids talk the sooner they talk back. I hope you never say anything at all." He leaves, Maggie pulls out her pacifier and says "Daddy."
Brings a tear to this grumpy curmudgeon's eye just thinking about it.

I'm sure if I watched a show like ER, it would increase the likelihood of bringing a tear to my eye.
Did anybody cry when Billy died on Ally McBeal?

Anyhow, I think the last time I got weepy was during an episode of "Dateline NBC".
