Madden 2003 Question

Hey guys,

I've been playing Madden '03 for my PS2 since it came out, and I was wondering if anyone here knew two things:

1. If it was possible to latteral a ball in the game

AND

2. How to send recievers/RBs in motion at the line of scrimage.

I can't seem to find these two things in the instruction manual, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

No latteral at all in Maddens, you can switch the controlls of your players before you snap the ball which takes you off your QB and on to a TE,RB,WR that you can move in motion, and there is another thing you can do and thats hot routes which will put your pass in stride with your receivers or runningbacks.

to send a player in motion you push down on the d-pad and keep doing it till you get to the player yo want in motion, then you select left or right on d-pad to send them in that direction.

is there a way to make the QB immediately (sp) scrammble? There are so many times when my recievers will be covered and I just can't take off running till I get right to the line of scrimmage.

just hit the triangle button right after the snap and that drops the pass windows and puts the QB into run mode

look in the manual..or its whatever button brings up and drops the passing windows. both games play the same, just different controls for each system its on. if its anything like the ps2 controls you might try the top button of the four button diamond on the right side......whatever thats called......i dont own an xbox so i dunno

Does anyone know how to load historic players into your franchise? Thanks.

I'm really upset about this too, and I don't think it's possible. When you redeem Madden Cards for historic players and attempt to play them inside the franchise, it won't let you highlight the 'play card' option. I had to use the cards from the main menu and they then showed up as generic free agents under the roster menu. The only thing I can think of, but haven't tried yet, is to try and unlock the historic players on the main menu and then attempt a fantasy draft for a new franchise.

It does suck though, I sold 10+ historic cards because I wasn't paying attention and thought that 'sell card' meant 'play card.'
