XBox Live Beta Testing, are you in?
Anyone got an email from Microsoft saying that your are in? Then it says that on Oct 7 it will send out more beta testers. Does this mean that if you get the email your are selected or does it mean that you MAY be select? Thanks.

I got the 'welcome to the Xbox Live Beta program' email, but I can't order the kit. I can put it in my cart, where it shows a price of 0.00, but when I try to check out I get a 'Sold-To Information' page with a form listing my name, street, city and a country pulldown with nothing in it. No buttons, nothing.

I got the email last night. I could not check out last night. I had the same problem as Gromit, but I was able to check out today. Shipping is kinda high. It was like 10 bucks for 3 day. I went for the ground, that was around 5.

Nothing so far. I can't believe they're going to pick more people on Oct. 7th, that seems like it's too close to the launch considering shipping time etc.

I got the same email as logan did. I was a bit unsure if I was selected or not. The subject says "Xbox Live: You're In!" But then in the message says, "That's because after October 7, we'll be sending out more invites for the Xbox Live Beta. Beta Testers are coming onto the service in waves, and you're next."
I was hoping to get picked in the inital wave but I'll take Oct. 7th

I got an email from XBox saying that I'm next to be selected on October 7th. I didn't get any notification yet. What the hell happen? Did anyone get selected yet for this week?

I forgot what the shipping charges were since I was too excited about placing my order to check real carefully. I was expecting the confirmation email of my order to come quickly so I would have that information but I havent gotten it yet. I think the total with shipping and tax (CA), was around 63 bucks.
I chose the slowest/cheapest option for shipping which was ups 3-day. You could also select 2day or next day if you wanted to pay more.
Hope you get your email soon logan...look for an email with the subject: "Xbox Live: We want you."

I got the email today saying I need to fill out the survey to have a chance to be a beta tester but when I click on the link or paste the URL it says
