I'm considering purchasing the Pioneer 656A DVD Player. I noticed it has built in Dolby Digital and DTS decoders. Don't most new receivers have that built in? Mine does. What advantage is there to having the decoders in the DVD player?
Also, this is a progressive scan player. My TV is a regular 36 inch Toshiba, not HDTV. I've heard of some progessive players having problems sampling down to an interlaced picture. Does this player have any problems like that?
Since it's a new player, I couldn't find any decent reviews.
Thanks.
