Godfather(s) on VH1....why?

Godfather(s) on VH1....why?
Did I miss something? Why is VH1 showing Godfather and Godfather II (haven't yet caught III) over and over again?

I guess you could ask the same about all those times they aired "Showgirls".
I can see the eerie resemblance to TNN now. First off, they are sister networks - owned by the same parent company. They both aired "The Godfather" - even though neither network really caters to the that type of audience. The creepiest thing is - during videos in the morning, they do that stupid little announcment thing on the bottom of the screen, promoting whatever.
They might as well change their name to TNN 2, or as I think of it, "The Place Where They Air Old MTV Crap and Behind the Music Repeats".

Ahhh so true...yet any Behind the Music is 10 times better than any garbage that's on MTV! 
You made me scratch my head with the whole 'parent company' deal; I'd never realized that TNN/TBS and VH1/MTV are all AOL subsidiaries I guess. Ted Turner and Carson Daly -- best buds!!

Gotcha, I confused TNT with TNN, and then a lot more stuff.
Doesn't change the fact that Godfather is on VH1!! With Snoop Doggy Dogg doing intros and outros! Horrible.
