Should I go for it? (xbox related)

The local pawn shop has an xbox for $150, and the tag on the console says you get your choice of game too. I would assume this means I get a game and the console for $150, which seems pretty good, even for a used system. They had a little basket of xbox games, and the only one I saw there that I want is Project Gotham Racing...

I really need to keep from spending money if I can as I'm trying to save for school next year, but these tempting deals keep coming up!

I'd not buy an xbox (or any new gaming system for that matter) from a pawn shop. Way too delicate and way too much money to spend to not get the 2-3 year full replacement warranty along with it! What type of warranty does pawn shop Bill offer?

I wouldn't buy a XBOX used! Even if it's a great deal. Save yourself from the headaches. Buy the XBOX when you are more financial set. Save for school!

Go out and spend the little extra cast and buy a refurbished one, MS certified.

Good... I'm actually glad to see people discouraging me from getting it, as I had more or less decided against it anyhow.

Thanks

Brian

I agree if you are going to buy a console get a new one. you could apply for a target card and get the XBox for 10% off(I believe they are still doing that promo).

The only way to buy a console used is from someone you know and trust or from a business you trust. I would buy them from a few people here without worrying

No no no... you're supposed to be telling me to be financially responsible, and to not buy one now. Convince me that I should just order a pile of DVDs and PS2 games instead

If you do buy a used unit... you can still call M$ and get an extended warr through them on it. (They don't care where you got it from, they'll still take your $$$)

BTW, I bought got a used on a little over a month ago, and it has worked perfect.
