Free XBOX at Best Buy

My neighbor tells me that Best Buy is running a promotion where you'll get a free Xbox if you sign up for 6 months of MSN. So it's not exactly free, but if you need internet services anyway - it's a good deal. It's also a good deal cuz 6 months of service is less than 150 bucks. Can someone verify this for me?

Oops - I looked around and found someone else talking about this saying that you have to sign up for 2 years which is 240 bucks. Sorry. It's still a deal if you need internet service anyway - otherwise it's pretty cold.

I wonder if the deal applies to current MSN subscribers?

I didn't see anything at Best Buy's site about current subscribers - I think it would just be added on to your current subscription. This is pretty much the same as Best Buy's typical MSN promotion - sign up for 2 years and get $200 shopping spree. Apparently though, they have a promotional table set up for this specific deal - so I guess this is more of a marketing gimmick than anything.

I assume there's some clause for California this time around?
