Smallville

The Smallville thread is back. The old one disappeared. Season Premire starts tonight. Post your questions and comments. Enjoy tonight's show.

I started watching this show last season, but got bored with it after six or seven episodes. It seemed like it was just repeating the same plotline over and over again. I hope this season they try to have more multi-episode plot lines.

I do have a question. In all of these WB shows all of the actors eyes seem to be really shiny. Does anybody know how they do this?

, you're my hero!

What we usually do for shows is have dated threads for each episode... since tonight is the season premiere (whooo!), we'll make this thread the season premiere thread. Editing title.

Edit: I'd also like to add a hearty "Die, TiVo!" because as I was making sure it was going to record Smallville, it showed me the episode summary. It was not spoiler free. Urgh.

Wow! Now that's the way to do a second season opener!

The Enterprise writers could stand to take a few hints from this show...

The only sad thing is this show can't go on for more than a few seasons before Clark comes of age.

He's already 25 years old, cavorting around with young high schoolers ... he may never come of age.

I stopped watching Smallville probably not even half way into the first season last year b/c I got very sick of the same villains every single episode & the story not moving forward. But I really liked the very first episode so I figured I'd give tonights episode a shot.

And it was probably one of the best hours of tv I have ever seen. Definitely the best season opener I can think of off-hand.

That was a great show. Well worth the wait. Lex got a taste of

Did anyone see the hot chick in next week's preview? She is going to make Victoria look like a nun.

Spoilers my friend! Especially for folks on the west coast and others who haven't seen it yet.

Oh, and btw:
Spoiler:
Lex has already had already killed at least one other time, if you've been following the first season.

The next episode looks like ass if you ask me. A bunch of cheap thrills with an uber-hot girl.

But tonight's episode was stellar! Hopefully this will be a great season with few "enemies of the week".

When?
Spoiler:
The old lady in Hourglass?

That doesn't really count.

A nice way to start off the new season. I liked the way how Lex's persona was becoming darker with the choices he had to make. And there is Clark, who didn't get either girl again, and is almost too reluctant to see Lex's true colors.

Spoiler:
I had half-expected the reporter to get done in by his own car, but that would've been too obvious, too convenient, and too cliched!

(And thank goodness my local PBS airs an encore presentation of "The Civil War" at 10, so I didn't have to miss this for "Smallville. )

Didn't Lex also setup and murder that guy at Club 0 in Metropolis?

More on Lex:
Spoiler:
The guy he shot tonight was not murder, it was self-defense (or justifiable homicide, anyway.) It wasn't a set-up job, by any stretch of the word.

Spoiler:
It was more like a crime of passion, but nonetheless he did kill that guy, so i guess that answers flay's question.

No that's incorrect.

Spoiler:
The girl shot the guy at Club Zero. That's was revealed at the end of the episode. Lex took the rap for it to protect her.

Damn fine episodes.

Spoiler:
It was great to see Lana call Cclark on what and did not happen. Too bad about the Chloe thing....the last thing TV needs is another drawn out unnecesarry love triangles....seriously, what was the last good love triangle you saw...if any?

Next weeks episode looks like crap. I'll still watch it, but why follow up a great season premiere with kryponite boners?!

All I meant was he

Spoiler:
Took one step closer to his true destiny. Self-defense it wasn't. Justifiable homicide, yes. Killing will become easier for him as time passes.

Flay, about Club 0:

I think if you go back and watch that episode again you can see that it's intentionally left vague as to what exactly happened.
When seen from Lex's point of view, he sees it in a way that makes it easier for him to live with, or right.

It's not in his nature to be decent, although he wants to be, so he justifies everything he does. He just gets worse and worse in every episode.

This is all last season, so I think we can discuss that episode without spoilers.

finally
Spoiler:
Clark might start flying soon, I loved it when Clark told his dad that he "willed himself towards Lana's truck" and said he thinks he can fly, I was wondering when they would finally introduce this element, I figured it would be this season but I wasn't sure

thank god summer is over! I needed some new tv!
