My DVD player has worked flawless for about a year. Now all of the sudden when I put ANYTHING in it, it displays an HO2 error and won't load anything. I have a Panasonic DVD-RV31. The only info I have found on this looking on the net is that some guy opened his player up and spun a plastic disc while he loaded a DVD into it and that fixed it. Anyone got anything better?

sounds like it died :(

you could try the ole unplug it for a bit and replug it back in(wait a day)

personally I doubt it will work but why not try it.

otherwise you will either need to get it repaired or buy a new one.

strange my old RCA 5200 is a rebadged panasonic A100 and it is still ticking away at my mother's but this model seems to be cursed.

well I've left it turned off for a day, is that the same or should I actually unplug it?

Okay, I'm gonna bring this back b/c I'm having a similar problem, except mine is an HO7 error. I was out of town, and it displayed this error while playing a disc that my brother was watching.

I've had this player since June/July 2003 (it's a panny RP62), and I've had no problems to date. I've bought an extended warranty with it b/c I'd been burned before and for $30 it seemed like a no brainer. It was an open box, so I don't have a manual for it.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I ended up buying a new player. I couldn't fix it short of sending back to Panasonic (which would have cost more than I paid for the player)

I looked a bit online.

It does not sound good.

The message "H07" means "Replace Spindle Motor"

not sure if this is true or not although it could be. I might see if you can get it fixed with your extended warranty since the chipset in the RP62 is very good.
