PS2 through VCR
I recently hooked up a PS2 for my sister through her Phillips VCR. She has an older tv with no a/v inputs, so it is my only option for her to use the system as a DVD player; Aside from buying accessories of course. One thing that I've noticed is that playing DVD's through the VCR doesn't create the "fuzz" that happens when I tried to use my regular DVD player through a VCR. Anyone have experience with this? While hooking it up I thought to myself that it would never work, but I find myself pleasantly suprised. Anyone have similar experience? Is PS2 an easy way to get around Macrovision that I wasn't aware of?

The PS2 does not defeat Macrovision. It could be that the VCR is immune, but chances are that your sister's VCR just doesn't pass-through as poorly as your VCR. Try recording, and the playback should look horrible.
