anyone else been told they couldnt have Dish installed because of too many trees around their house? Lazy installers or legit? I REALLY want to dump my cable company

I've seen it happen but it's not all that common. It's certainly not "lazy installers"....they're not going to refuse to do their livelihood just because they don't feel like doing it.

A person that came out and moved my dish told me that in three years they had one house where they could not install a dish.

Only way to be sure is to check some placements with a signal strength meter. I am pointed partially into a gian oak tree and I get 90+ signals now.

Gotta have that line of site to do it. Have you considered putting the thing on the tree? The trees do flex and move, but maybe if you got enough of a signal it wouldn't matter. Perhaps putting a pole up? If you do these though you probably don't want to ignore grounding the dish like everyone else does. Jeremy

I may go the pole route, it is a giant oak tree. Thanks for the input guys
