R2 France and Germany -where to buy?

I'm looking for R2(French) Nikita and German s/e The Fifth Element.

I've tried looking through some of the retailers listed elsewhere on this forum but I've just agbout run out of paitence.

Who are the best online discounters/no postage etailers? I'm in R4 buy the way.

Thanks in advance.
Richard

...and don't expect much if anything in the way of 'discount' and/or 'no postage' from European e-tailers, generally...

. . . . . .

Thanks for the replies. I suspected as much regarding discounts and shipping.

Do those Europeans realise just how much extra they're paying for DVDs?

Cheers

The smart ones know, that'S the reason so many order from Australia or US/CAN.

However, a lot of Germans (don't know about the french) are used to dubbed movies, so they are forced to buy them locally.

For R2UK www.play.com is more than a bargain.
And if it is still too expensive just wait a bit and you get a BOGOF offer at your local Virgin/HMV.
So in the UK the answer is no. DVD are not expensive if you know where to find them.

In France it is another story. First of all not all people do speak English. It is true that French editions are pretty expensive. So when a R2UK is cheaper and contains a French soundtrack they buy in the UK (reluctantly cause they do not like the packaging and hate above all BBFC cuts) or Belgium or Lux.
French can also buy R1 (merci Québec).

France is the most active market for DVDs in Europe.
