i recently bought a set of used Paradigm speakers (sans sub) from a friend and can't seem to find wall mounts that would fit the rear sats. He had speaker stands for the rears, but i decided against them. The speakers (not sure what model they are) have unthreaded holes in the rear for a mounting bracket.
i've tried a search, but didn't come up w/ much. Can anyone post a link to where i could purchase a compatible mount?

I have paradigm Atoms and bought wall mounts from my local 6th ave eletronics store (NY/NJ) They are also a paradigm dealer. Great deal, cheaper than some of the other mounts I saw and look good. Although, I have yet to install them.

They are from a company called premier and are the MB-60 model

Omnimount is the industry standard but they are expensive. I am sure this is the hole patteren you have. I would go to radio shack or home depot and get what ever they have and just screw into new holes if needed.

I'm pretty sure omnimount don't fit the paradigm speaker hole pattern. Not sure why you think they do. . .

And, why would you suggest getting "what ever they have and screw into new holes" rather than getting mounts that actually fit the speakers?

Most US speaker companies have used omni mount as the standard because they were the first with national distribution. Plus they have a wide range of products and an innovative (patented) design.

The reason I recommend just screwing into to cabinet is that it could save you ~$50 and still give you the same result. The down side is you have two new screw holes in the back of your speaker. But if you are wall mounting them I not sure why this would be a problem.

That wouldn't be a problem IF i didn't care about the resale value of the speakers (Paradigm Micro) i suppose i could jury-rig something that could make use of the existing cabinet screws and the wall brackets/mounts i already have, but i'm a lazy bastich (not to mention a born klutz).
i'd rather buy wall brackets/mounts made to fit the speakers (Paradigm's are Canadian, btw), but the big problem is that there aren't any Paradigm dealers left in HI; from what my friend told me, the lone dealer closed down last year. The closest one is in CA and that's a DAMN_long drive! Most sites don't ship outside of their state or outside of the continental US. Luckily, i found a site (Audio-By-Design.com) selling the MB60 - only one in stock?!? - for $20 & e-mailed them for shipping info. Keeping my fingers crossed... will keep ya posted.

BTW: has anybuddy used or know of this company?

I know they are Canadian, thats why I put the "US" part in my post. I have designed systems for years and the US dealers always want Omni mount patterns.

I would measure the hole centers and then check omni mounts site.

You could also drill your cab and then add screw-in inserts (which you could find at Home Depot and make it look very professional.

RaMMaR, $20 is a good price for the MB60. I paid 25 at reail so even if shipping is high, you are doing alright. You can't touch the omnipoints for that. They are pretty over priced, if you ask me. bfrank is right about national distribution, but so what? If you can get the 'right' mount for your speakers, especially for 20-30 bucks you're better off -- IMHO. I don't see the point in jury-rigging something and screwing up up your speakers if you don't have to.

If Audio-by-design falls through for some reason, contact paradigm directly. The salesman told me that premier is a paradigm brand. Don't know if it's true or not, but either way they should be able to point you in the right direction. Also the retail store I visited, 6th Ave has site, don't know if the speaker mounts are available on line, but they have a direct number you can try calling... http://www.6ave.com/main.jsp

i got a ship quote from ABD's Retail Manager: UPS 2nd day air for the MB60 would come out to $24.37 ($44.37 total)
After firing back a response, asking if USPS was an option, he said the ship would be $11.25 ($31.25 total), but wouldn't ship until the 9th.
ALMC, i checked 6th Ave's site, but couldn't find the MB60. If they did, i figure the total price would be about the same as ABD's so i think i'll stick with them.
bfrank, i'll probably use your advice on some old speakers i've got stashed in the closet. i've been meaning to set up some sounds in the garage w/ my old receiver.

Hopefully the holes in the new brackets will line up w/ the ones i drilled in the wall to secure the old ones. The less work the better.

I mounted my Paradigm Atoms with the Premier MB-60 brackets a couple of years ago. They seem to do the job wonderfully.
Definitely a two-person operation to get them installed and the speakers aimed properly, though.
