Can my player play PAL?

Not sure if this thread goes here, but...I've got a Toshiba SD3750. If I were to buy a DVD that wasn't region encoded, but was in the PAL format, would my player be able to play it or would it just fail miserably?

One site I was looking at before said that it should be able to convert the PAL to NTSC on the fly, but I figured I may as well ask here, too. Anyone know? Thanks.

Your model number Tosh needs a mod and a converter for NTSC/PAL. In order to play PAL you will need to buy a mod kit or have some do it and have a converter.

I own a mod JVC XVS500BK with all that I need built in, including the power converter to avoid the anamorphic PAL stretch.
