Come and See 2-disc question

Is the entire film on the first disc, or is it split? I have the first disc in my posession from netflix, and will go ahead and watch it if it's not split. If it is, I already have the 2nd disc in my queue so it should be on its way soon.

...the RUSCICO release has the movie split over two discs[+]... so sue Netflix for sending you just half a movie - or at least ask for your money back...

[+] ...just so you're forewarned, the same goes for RUSCICO's releases of, e.g., "Agony", "Stalker", "Solaris", "Andrei Rublev"...

It's normal for netflix to split up multi disc releases, so I did put both in my queue... they just sent me one disc before the other one. No biggie, though I guess it is a tad annoying.

"...I guess it is a tad annoying."

...in this case, I'd say it's downright stupid... but that's just me...

Great film - don't watch the 2nd disc first.

Yes, I got the 2nd disc yesterday and watched the whole thing tonight. What an amazing, brutal film. I'm not really sure what to say about it right now. Once it got going, it just never let up.

BTW, when I do a search for "Come and See" I immediately get no results. Even if I just type in "Come" I get nothing. I should at LEAST get this thread, right? The same thing happened over at HTF. Kind of frustrating when I'm looking for other discussions on the movie.

...not a discussion, but some background...

...and a suggestion: take a look at the same Director's Agony (also a two-disc RUSCICO release)...

(...he wrote, while being aurally immersed in Shostakovich's Symphony #11 - "The Year 1905"...)

Another suggestion: anyone who likes "Come and See" be on a lookout for another great war movie: AT DAWN IT’S QUIET HERE that Ruscico will be releasing sometime in the beginning of the next year. It's a very powerful and compelling war thriller, totally different from the Climov's film.

And I second Hendric's recommendation for Agony - a fantastic movie.
