Need Sub hookup help re:LFE

ok, I've got a pioneer 411 receiver with both DTS and pro logic II. I just got JBL SCS135SI home theatre speakers. In the speaker manual it states for pro logic, NOT to hook up the sub by the LFE input, but to use the L/R RCAs and a Y-splitter from the receiver. But for DTS, it states to use the LFE input. I'm confused. Which should I be using? Please tell me I don't have to switch back and forth? I've tried emailing JBL with no response.

I'm only making a guess here but I think they mean that if your AV receiver can only do pro logic to do it this way. Since your receiver has DTS and probably DD i think it will have bass management built it that will handle all of them using the LFE input. You'll only be using prologic for VHS and some regular tv viewing anyway right since you'll want DD or DTS for DVD playback.
