Timespliters 2's online play was canned recently. No console will get an online version.
Other than that, the list is accurate.
Right now the only online hockey game is NHL 2K3 for the XBox. I hope EA decides to take NHL 2003 online.
If you have broadband, you will see very little lag. 56K is laggy.

how will the gaming compare to going head to head on one system? will it be as smooth, or will there be some lag?

I don't know when the release date is now. It is in Best Buys ad for tomorrow, but I just checked www.ebworld.com looking at future PS2 release dates and the adapter is listed for 9/17 now. Is it coming this week?

I think its official release date is the 27th (Tuesday). EB has sold out of their first shipment and won't be able to fill any orders until their second shipment arrives on 9/17.

Tony Hawk 3 should also be on the list of games compatible with the network adapter.

I'm mad. No deals whatsoever. Bestbuy didn't even have one of those "buy this game and this accesory and get 50 cents off" deals. I'm not going to shell out 60 for SOCOM. I'm afraid its high ratings have mostly been hype-related, like MGS2 (which i've yet to play after i finished it.) I'll wait for the hype to die down, and if its a "must own" then i'll buy it around christmas. Time will tell.
As for the adapter ... 39.99 isn't bad. Use my 5off19.99 coupon for Bestbuy (from most recent EGM) and it makes it a decent buy.
Any idea how long it will take to get that Twisted metal black free copy? ... For some reason i'm afraid it will take sony a long time to ship all those out.

To address the madden issue: EA has stated that madden 2003 will only be supported until next August.. At which time i bet they turn off 2003 and force buyers to get 2004 to continue online. (Or less likely they will charge for 2003 access at that point) ... This suckers us into basically buying a slightly updated version of the exact same game (2004) in order to keep the online portion functioning.
To address the socom 6 minute issue: Like Aghama, I've heard that the multiplayer games are short. On top of that i read in EGM that you are forced to wait through the 6 minute period to rejoin, ala` Counterstrike. So respawning deathmatches aren't supported... This makes me resist the game even more.
I was planning on buying the adapter first-day... But i've changed my mind, for now. Once the issue of subscriptions, and third party support, and a killer app comes out, then i'll get on board.

Question: First a disclaimer, I'm by no means a computer genius so bear with me. I want to play madden online. At my house we have cable modem. But the main hub (or whatever you would call it) is upstairs in my dad's office. We have the connection networked wirelessly downstairs (where my playstation is) through a d link antennae. the antannae is connected to the computer downstairs by way of the usb port. This is pretty much what we have So basically my question is will i be able to get online with playstation downstairs? i cant do it directly upstairs because like i said its my dads office. thanks

Check out this thread:

Basically, you'd run a short cat 5 cable from the network adapter to a wireless bridge (~$100) which connects you to the hub upstairs.
The other alternative is to buy a really long cat 5 cable (dirt cheap) and run it upstairs when you want to use it and coil it up when you don't.

Maybe Sony could send Microsoft the "how to make a game that holds a gamer's attention for more than 5 minutes" kit.
Edit: It's just a joke. Please don't get bent out of shape. Maybe I should've just deleted my post...
