Steel Batallion price raised to $250
Crikey! $250 for 1 game. Typing it and then reading it off my screen makes me see how ridiculous this is.

How can anyone say that they are willing to pay $250 for a single game? Are you Bill Gates godson or something, because I just can't see it. I'm a huge Zelda freak, but for $250 Link stays on the shelf. That's $50 more than the console you are playing the game on! But I guess since there are people out there that are willing to pay such a price, companies will continue to target them...

I was seriously thinking about buying it at 199.99 last week. but as I checked today at EbGame.. it went up to 250.00. I am not so tempted anymore. The controller is amazing and furthermore the graphics are as well. But still 250.00 is a good hunk of change for one game.

Its the ulimate game for the Mech fan, but $250 seems like Capcom taking advantage of people. No way that controller cost them $200 to manufacturer. I'll be surprised if they sell 100 of these nationwide at that price.

Man, $250 is a lot of money, but this game is as close to a simulator as you can get. Look at the controll that this game requires. There has never been a game like this before, in terms of the controll that you will have.
This game is a test also of what the market is willing to go for. Granted, there is no way I personally would drop the $$$ for it, but you have to admit that the concept is extremely cool, and the controll for the game is probably extremely expensive considering the volume of production and sales is limited to 1 game. I am sure that they are making a profit, but I would not say much of a a profit though. 1 controller to controll 1 game, that must be extremely expensive to develop (along with the game), expensive to produce, expensive to package and ship.
All in all, it should be interesting to see how this "Test" turns out. It could revolutionize the game market as we know it, or it could go the way "power glove" for the Super Nintendo.
Just for nostalgic reasons, anyone ever see the Fred Savage movie the Wizard, and remember the Hush and Awe that sept over the crowd when the kid pulled out the Power Glove at the Nintendo playoffs?

This must be targeted at adult gamers. I just don't see parents spending $250 on a game/controller when they could pick up 5 games for that price.
That said, if the final reviews are about 90%+, I'm definitely getting this.

Controllers for games like Dance Dance Revolution, Beatmania, Samba De Amigo, and the Driving Force Racing Wheel for GT3 cost less than $100, I don't see why this controller should cost so much more.

If people buy this I bet the $500 butt poking controller is right around the corner.
