I was just looking the SEC thread and I was just wondering if there are those--like me--who follow Pac-10 football.
Me, I am a Washington State grad for my masters and I'm eagerly anticipating this season. We're supposed to be the front runners but I'm a bit nervous. Somehow I can't shake the feeling that we're gonna be "Coug"-in' it this year. Great offense, Heisman candidate QB in Jason Gesser but some question at running back. On defense, got a great D-line, holes at LB and a pretty good secondary. Schedule is pretty good with home games against Oregon, Washington and USC. Big game is on September 14th at Ohio State.
Cougars should win it this year but....who knows?
So let's hear it from you Ducks, Beavers, Huskies, Cardinal, Bears, Bruins, Trojans, Sun Devils, and Wildcats.

I visited LA a few weeks ago and had a chance to drop by UCLA. Even though we weren't too far from USC, we never did visit that school. Don't know why...

My prediction for the Pac-10:

Carson Palmer's never impressed me, even though he puts up the numbers, he too much like Keyshawn (another 'SC alum) in that he never gets it into the end zone! The rest of the team is okay and we did make a decent run at the end of last season...assuming the team has adjusted to Pete Carrol's system, USC should be better than last year's 6-5 mark.
Getting off to a strong start is important, it took 'SC half the season to get with it last year. But then we have Auburn in the first game, so we might stumble hard right away.
Ahh, what the hell, I'm incredibely optimistic!

I am a Cal fan, and as sad as our program is, I guess its got nowhere to go but up. The Old Blues are freaking tired of losing, losing to Stanfurd, and just plain bad football. Hopefully, Jeff Tedford will lead us in the right direction. It actually looks okay for us this year. We're just hoping for 4 wins. Anything else is icing on the cake.

With our big win against USC last week, WSU goes into what I would think is the soft part of our schedule (games against Arizona, AZ State, and Stanford) and on to the hard part (Oregon, UCLA and Washington...all at home, I think).
Assuming we sweep the easy part and win at least two of the three difficult games, I think we should take the title this year.

I think Wazzu is the best team in the Pac-10 this year. Gonna prolly contend for the Rose Bowl this year. I just hope Cal's appeal to the NCAA overturns the bowl ban this year, since it looks like we're gonna have our first winning team in nearly 10 years! Woohoo!
