Some people have told me its alright to play video games on a HDTV widescreen tv as long as there is always movement keeping it paused for a long period is bad. other peopl have told me that you flat out dont wanna use one on a tv like this. What do you think?

I use my xbox, ps2, and DC on my widescreen HDTV and have not had any problems. Just keep your contrast turned down a bit and you should be fine.
