Which console would be better in the car???
Xbox or PS2??? I am trying to decide which one I'd like to purchase to put in my car. I like certain things about both, but I can't decide. Right now I mainly like the Xbox for the music that I could store on it and use as a jukebox, and I like PS2 because of the new 2.4 Ghz wireless controllers that are coming out. Which would you want in the car and WHY? (I'm not looking to start an argument, I really just don't know too much about either system). Thanks!

I think those same 2.4ghz wireless controllers are coming out for XBox, or a variation on that.
If you could hook up your Xbox to the sound system thru 5.1 audio, it would be amazing and the hard drive would be great for storing music.. It can hold I hear a week of music...
That would be beautiful to rip a CD diretly into your Xbox, in your car, driving home from Best Buy!

Don't forget that the controllers would need their own seats!

I assume you've ruled out the Cube from your post, but if not, it seems to me to be the most portable. Small size, very light weight. Also the wavebird wireless controllers are very good. So if the games are there that you like & you don't require it to play MP3's or play DVDs that would be my choice.

If I were to install a console in my car, I'd probably go with:
1. PS1 (the newer "slimmed down" version")
2 Gamecube.
Both are pretty portable, but PS1 is my top choice simply because it's smaller.
However, for gameplaying in the car my real console of choice is the Gameboy Advanced. No installation necessary, and you can take it with you when you aren't in the car.

And just because i'm feeling silly and unhelpful, I'll give my usual answer: Put all three in your car.

I'd definitely go with the PS2! More Games, you can play regular cds on it. DVDS!!! Come on. I'd DEFINITELY go with the PS2. But if you do go with the XBox, then that is also a pretty good choice. As long as you don't go with a nintendo64 then you should be all set!

I'd still go with the Xbox if you could hook it up to your sound system... get the DVD remote and you can use that to scroll through songs, and also it has a pretty nice screen you can activate when the music is playing... one of those screensaver/music to the beats type of things..

PS2. Both can play DVD's and games but the PS2 is smaller and therefore will give you more install options. Also, you can set it vertically (I'm not sure if you can do this with Xbox). Finally, more games for it because its older and many are like 20 bucks. After spending money on the install you might want to give your wallet a break.
