i know this is semi old news..
Many months at the least.
Anyway, I think it's a good idea. Fan situations are a cyclical system, and someone has to step in and make an investment to get things moving in a new direction. This should be good for all parties involved and will hopefully help build more interest and support for the franchise. Not like I care about the Falcons, er, I mean Hawks, though. ;)

Ah ... easiest for you, maybe, since you don't have to retype your post. :)

You're really pushing your luck today, aren't you? ;)
If everyone who had a typo in a thread title deleted their threads, we'd have chaos on our hands. I don't mind editing thread titles when the author does a Report this post about a typo, honest.

maybe not the best guarantee?
Atlanta 19 30 .388 15.0 15-11 4-19 8-6 12-20 Lost 1 5-5
looks like they are about 5 games behind the wiz for the final playoff spot?

east - 9th spot - orlando 24-26 - .480
west - 9th spot - lakers 23-23 - .500
not a whole lot of difference when you look down that low
toss out dallas and the east's top 3 are all ahead of the west #2
but its all apples to oranges anyways

Why? The Hawks are just going to lose a ton of money out of this.

Eh... It's Atlanta. Of the 25 season ticket holders, only 18 will remember, so it's not a HUGE financial loss. If the Knicks made a promise like it, it would be a different story. I really don't think the Hawks would have sold many more season ticket packages b/c of this promotion, but I could be wrong.
The other 7 will be too distracted by summer practices for Georgia and Georgia Tech, in case you were wondering.
