Sorround System, please help!
Hi, i have doubts about my system's capacity
I bought a 5.1 dts reciever and player, but i was buying a dvd the other day and the one i wanted to buy was "English (6.1 DTS ES), English (Dolby Digital 5.1 EX), English (Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo)"sorround,
WHATS THAT!!!!???????. i want to know if my dvd player and reciever are going to play it or not.

What's what? If you have a Dolby Digital/dts receiver, yes it's going to play. There are one dts and two DD audio tracks on the disc. Why wouldn't it play?

DTS ES, and DD EX are just DTS and DD with extra channel information. Your player, if it is not EX or ES capable, will just ignore the extra information. Treat such discs as you would any other DTS or DD audio encoded DVD.
Your DVD player, as long as it can pass DTS, can handle these audio streams as well.
