Man, Nintendo needs to make these games a little longer. This game took me around 10 hours to beat. It was still a great game, and I liked all the characters. Any input? I got a Class B ranking as well.

Yeah, I beat it in around 10 hours as well. Fun game though and I played through the second mansion for about another 10 hours. Pikmin was kind of short too, but it also had replay value.

Considering I will probably play Luigi's Mansion again at some point I think it was worth it. It's a good game and games being too short seems to be a big problem on all the next generation consoles.

The nice thing about Luigi's mansion is that I was easily able to beat it during the rental period.

My thouts exactly groucho. It was a great game to rent and play through, but far to short to own over the long term.

The timing on him is tough. You just have to dodge the ice he drops and he will be easy to beat. It took me several tries to get the timing down.

I borrowed my friends GC and beat the game in a couple days, then beat the second mansion in another day (and got an A ranking with over 120,000) The game is definitely way to short, but was very fun for those few days.

Short, but fun. Even though I beat in one rental period, I'd still like to buy it when it drops to $20 or so. It seems like the type of game that I'd enjoy playing through again every few months.

How can you avoid Bowser landing on you? It seems like Luigi runs in slow motion and Bowser's shadow shows up a second or two before he lands.

I rented it, and beat it. I also rented Resident Evil, but I don't like the game too much...

I would buy it at $20 as well, but since Mario Kart and other n64 games still sell for $39.99+ 4-5 years later, I don't think you will see it for a LONG TIME. Nintendo almost never lowers the price of their own A-list titles. So don't hold your breath fellow dvdtalkers!!

One reason that old N64 games are so expensive is that they are cartridges. Because the Gamecube media is optical disc, the likelyhood of discounted titles is more likely...but who knows?

Hopefully they will start a "Greatest Hits" type thing again within the next year or two. True, the discounted N64 games only went down to $39.99 or so, but that's when most games cost $60 initially. They re-released $20 hits on NES and SNES, so I'm hoping they'll go back to that with GameCube. But you're right, it's not a certainty.

The discs are cheaper than cartridges, so I am positive they will be in the $20 range. I think we will star seeing them closer to Christmas.
