Star Trek II: Wrath of Kahn

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn is one of my favorite films.

Here's a great review from Ron at the Home Theater Forum

FYI, I changed your thread title, as there's a non-SE version of this movie too.

Also, here's a link to DVDFile's nice review of the DVD:

Looking forward to the audio comm., the onscreen tidbits and all the interviews.

From Ron's review:

Not much can be said here to further persuade you
to buy this 2-disc DVD. It's already on the
preorder list of every Star Trek Fan. You also
can't help but admire the amount of material
that can be had for a little over $20.
However, I read elsewhere that while a great transfer, it is only marginally better than the original release. While this is a great movie and my favorite Trek film, I can't see upgrading. I'll stick with my original copy for now......

If really like extra features, then the STII: Director's Cut is for you! Nick Meyer has added some pieces of dialogue back into the movie (although not terribly major). But, so far, I have enjoyed the text commentary and the Captain's Log feature on the making of the movie. LOTS of stories I've never heard before! Great stuff.

Since we're sharing reviews (and I'm a big fan of reading as many as I can find), here is mine:
