So far I'll be getting 2k3 unless NFL Fever makes a lot of gameplay changes.

Have you heard anything either way? I have the OXM that showcases the upcoming releases, but I think I would like a little less biased opinion.

IMHO Nba Inside Drive was leaps and bounds better that NBA 2k2, but I dont know about NFL Fever -vs- NFL2k2.

Thoughts...???

I plan on buying NFL 2K3 this year. It'll be my first Sega sports game since the Genesis, so I'm looking forward to giving it a try. I've always liked the Madden games too, but I probably won't buy a new Madden game until next year.

I'll probably get Madden but I'm not opposed to getting NFL 2k3 if it turns out really good. Madden has definitely been the better of the 2 over the past few years though.

REALLY!?!?!

Are you just used to Madden, ie: have you ever given NFL2k's a chance??? I think Visual Concepts is leaps and bounds ahead of EA in graphics and gameplay.

I'll just stick with Madden 2002 on the Gamecube. I generally only buy one game for each sport per generation.

I owned both 2k and 2k1 for the DC and my housemates owned 2k2 for the PS2. The running game sucked in 2k, it was too easy to break tackles in 2k1, and 2k2 looked like crap and didn't play much differently than 2k1. I just find Madden to be the less flawed of the 2 games.

Madden 2000 versus NFL 2k is no contest... NFL 2k is clearly the winner.

Thats when EA started paying attention to Sega Sports and figured out they had some real competition.

2k3 was voted best sports game of E3... Sega Sports is here to take down EA, and they will.

Madden 2002 was without a doubt the best football game that year. However 2003 looks to just be an add-on to 2002, something you would get free, bundled in a gaming mag. Nfl2K3 looks like it'll re-invent the 2K franchise, a breath of fresh air you may say, so i'll definitley pick that up....for the Xbox of course.

If I get a football game at all, which I think I will, it'll be NFL2k3 for the xbox.

NFL2k3 for either Gamecube or PS2, depending upon which version is better.

I have Madden for the GC...good game, but I still prefer NFL2k2 for the DC and Playstation 2. First of all Maddens graphics are too cartoony for my tastes, but that is a shallow reason not to like a game. The big reason is it's cheap AI and its gameplay. I like the momentum based concept, but if you need a pass and need it now, your recievers get "stone hands", they can't catch a velcro covered ball dipped in crazy glue...while your computer opponent can catch a 80 yard bomb in the middle of 5 db's.

I ask because this year's Madden has gotten the most improvements the series has seen in a while. To say that it's a mere add-on, I found odd.
