From a buena Vista press release. The R2 does have more extras. I know they both will have DTS.

Then why does your post state:

"The 2-disc release will include loads of extras seemingly not on the current Canadian edition or the forthcoming R1 2-disc Special Edition and an exclusive DTS soundtrack!"

If you knew the press release was wrong you should have omitted the incorrect part. There's enough misinformation being shared among the net already.

oh stop picking on him...

I'll just pick up the R1 version. I sold the canadian version for 50 bucks awhile ago... the deleted scenes with Tarantino intro are on the VHS that was released and it's nothing new. There's not really much in that list of extras that I'm interested in, but a DTS track makes me happy.

I really don't mean to be giving him a hassle. It's just that there's already a lot of misinformation of technical features of import DVDs already. It makes it hard to keep the facts straight sometimes. Regardless, I'm sure the extras info will help some people in determining which version they want to buy. I'm not into extras so the R1 version is what I'll be buying. I'm really happy it'll finally be dts and 16:9 in R1.

Fair enough.

As far as I can tell the only thing on the R2 not on R1 is -

Independent Spirit Awards - Michael Moore interviews Quentin, Lawrence and Sam

I think the rest is the same.
