The fans really loved him

He was being his old self, mocking all the superstars, being a cocky SOB.

He was the Rock of old again...

What I didn't like, was they bastardized his return by making him hang with Busta Rhymes to promote Halloween:Resurrection, just b/c they knew fans would be watching at that time.

All in all, glad to have the Rock back.

I say he wins the belt at Vengeance, and then loses to Brock, thus giving RAW another Superstar.

My thoughts exactly. What is it with them whoring crappy movies? They did it with Rollerball too.

Rock (referring to Busta): "He can sing, he can rap, he can dance."

He sure can't talk though, can he?

Rock mocking Hogan was fairly amusing, and making fun of the new interviewer, while not at all original, was pretty funny.

the last part of the title should have read "...and doesn't make much of an impact on the ratings!"

Why? Like him or hate him, he at least gives viewers some entertainment.

Sorry this is a little off topic, but what happened to Nash Monday?

Is he really hurt, or is it fake? I think it is fake, because it looked stupid and fake, but on the other hand, the announcers didn't really sell it and there is no real reason for him to fake injury in an unimportant match.

Is he really hurt, or is it fake? I think it is fake, because it looked stupid and fake, but on the other hand, the announcers didn't really sell it and there is no real reason for him to fake injury in an unimportant match.

Kevin Nash tore his quadriceps muscle on Monday at RAW during the 10-man tag match. The 7-foot WWE superstar is on the road to rehab and the thought of retirement has not even become an option in his mind.

“I tore it pretty clean, but I tore it pretty bad. I did a helluva job. Anyone who heard my scream on TV can attest to that,” said Nash, who has yet to see the footage of his injury on RAW. “One of the doctors said that while Andrews was working on it, he was shocked at how it looked, that it looked like a mess.”

When asked how the injury occured, Nash said: “All I know is, I went to hit Bubba, and then what happened, whether I stepped on Earl or Booker, I have no idea. I know I stepped on something that made me plant wrong and blow my quad."

Nash spoke with HHH who suffered a similar injury last year. "Hunter was amazed that I walked out, with the help of crutches, the first day after the surgery,” Nash said. “The next day (Wednesday), it really swelled up and I could barely move. Thursday, I’ve been in a lot of pain." On the road to recovery, Nash commented: “Hunter kind of informed me what I was going to be going through over the next couple of months,” Nash said. “If you want to come back from an injury like this, you almost have to isolate yourself to a world of rehab. And as of right now, that’s what I’m doing.”

“It’s a long road back; I know that. But I am not a quitter. No way am I retiring. That was not my last match,” Nash said. “Anyone who thinks I’m gonna call it quits after this doesn’t know me.” He paused, then, with a laugh, added, “I’ve got way too much more s --- to stir in that locker room and way too many young kids to hold down," Nash said jokingly.

A agree fully. I loved his spats with Jericho. Espically since Jericho is the only Superstar I know of that really talks down to The Rock with looking like a retard. The whole Rock downplaying everybody is a little old after a while, cause it's always written that nobody will talk smack back to him. Gets O.L.D. with the quickness.

From 1 wrestling:

...the much hyped return of the Rock scored just a 3.3 broadcast rating, with a six share, according to Nielsen Media Research. That is right in the range of the low numbers that the show has been doing of late and the Rock's return brought literally no lift to the show.

Off topic kinda

How do the ratings work over there

Jackskeleton

Nelson viewers.
random people are given nelson boxes and then based on them we figure out what people watch. I'm not sure if it's any different with wrestling.

Gattman

Yeah thats how it works here, but I think we are given a booklet, do you know anyone who was given one of these boxes
Not that im a huge fan of wrestling but I do watch Raw I wonder, how can you really believe a rating when Mr Stiff Upper Lip from the mansion has one of these boxes

Thunderball,

I don't see Rock walking away with the title at all at the next PPV. Would love to see Angle vs. Lesnar at Summerslam! Taker vs Lesnar doesn't look right in my book and why have Rock drop the title one month after winning it? You might ask, then why have Angle vs. Lesnar? Reason being, two guys that can "wrestle." Also, with Kurt holding the title, and being an Olympic Champion and Brock not, builds a nice story. Yeah, would be heel vs. heel but in the end, one comes out the face.

Just my three nickels.

Bill I agree I think Angle will win the belt at Vengeance but will fight a DQ match with Brock at Summerslam, so that Kurt keeps the belt and Brock still has his streak intact

I think HHH is gonna interfere w/ the matchup, giving UT the win to setup him vs. Brock. WWF, er, WWE is starting to push UT as a face again after the Jeff Hardy incident, and I can't see WWE putting 2 heels in the main match together. This will also help feud the Rock, Booker + Goldust vs. NWO feud starting to heat up...while, kinda, before the Nash injury.

They would be really testing the fans' patience if they go with a DQ finish in the main event at Summerslam. I can't see them making that move - but then again, they HAVE chosen the worst possible option at almost every opportunity, over the last year or so - so it's not out of the question. My guess is Rock wins on Sunday - then loses to Brock at Summerslam via some dubious interference (HHH's heel turn, maybe?) that involves an injury angle for Rock to go film his movie.

I myself cant see The Rock winning the belt for that very reason [his upcoming movie role]

supposedly Rock is going to double duty while the movie is filming, he won't be at every single TV but he isn't taking as much time as Scorpion King
