How the online companies are handling the Nextcard disaster

What a pain in the ass, huh? I had 8 pre-orders with Amazon using the Nextcard that I had to change to a different card. All of those orders used coupons, and 6 of those coupons were expired. For some reason, 4 of the expired coupons stayed on their orders when I changed cards, but 2 fell off, both from ST:TNG sets: a 10% amizoniversary and MAPMCARDSAVE - $10 OFF $75 No big deal though since I know I can call Amazon after they ship and get the $10 refunded to my card.

On the other hand, I pre-ordered THE FOG from bestbuy.com on July 3rd for 9.99, but they cancelled my order because Nextcard informed them the authorization was now invalid. I called the bestbuy.com customer service because now the price for THE FOG is 14.99, but they wouldn't do a damn thing for me. Tough luck. Last time I ever shop there.

I have a pre-order with DeepDiscountDVD, and so far no problem. I just went to my account and changed my card info.

So how are the online retailers handling the disaster?
